Honestly... I think the "Three's" thing is because we have a difficult time remembering four celebs who've died recently in a row.

People are born and die every day... everyone looks for a pattern in something that is completely random. In a random sampling of human death, a certain percentage of them will be well known... and random placement will have some of them grouped closer together than others.
